Music and Film in Motion (MFM) will be touring the north with their InSight and Sound (ISS) Seminar Series from April 27-30.

This free educational series presents an opportunity for northern musicians and members of Northern Ontario’s music industry to gather, learn and discuss various facets of the industry.

Through workshops and professional development seminars headed by some of the industry’s best and brightest, MFM’s ISS Seminar Series helps bridge the gap between artist and industry.

“By bringing the industry to the north to educate artists, we’re promoting the idea that you can have a career in music without having to relocate to a bigger centre,” said MFM’s Music Outreach Officer, Jen McKerral.

“And, ideally, this information will continue to get passed on from artist to artist through our local music communities. It’s by building up our industry here that we’ll be able to reap the economic benefits of a thriving music scene.”
