According to the report, Wynne told reporters in Toronto she will tell investigators nothing improper happened in the weeks before the Feb. 5 vote.

“I am co-operating with the authorities. I’ve made my public statements, I’ve been very clear,” The Star quoted the premier as telling reporters Tuesday at the CivicAction conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Wynne will meet with investigators from the OPP's anti-rackets squad, which is probing allegations local Liberal fundraiser Gerry Lougheed Jr. and Liberal campaign director Pat Sorbara tried to entice former candidate Andrew Olivier not to run by offering him a job or an appointment.

Olivier made the allegations in December, and in January released recordings of conversations with Sorbara and Lougheed he said backs up his claims.

Wynne appointed former NDP MP Glenn Thibeault to run, and has maintained Olivier knew he wasn't going to be the candidate when she, Sorbara and Lougheed spoke with him.

Olivier has said he didn't record his conversation with the premier because he was in an elevator when they spoke. Olivier, a quadriplegic, routinely records his conversations because he can't take notes.

Thibeault won the byelection, and he and Wynne are not part of the police investigation.
