Today is Doctor's Day, and Health Sciences North is honouring the 285 physicians who provide care at the hospital. The Ontario Medical Association has declared May 1 is Doctor's Day to recognize the 27,000 physicians who practice in the province.

Today is Doctor's Day, and Health Sciences North is honouring the 285 physicians who provide care at the hospital.

The Ontario Medical Association has declared May 1 is Doctor's Day to recognize the 27,000 physicians who practice in the province.

“On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to you, for all that you do at HSN,” said Mike McCann, chair of Health Sciences North's board of directors, in a press release. “Your commitment to providing safe and quality patient care is key to meeting our mission of improving the health of northerners.”

Health Sciences North said in a press release it also extends its appreciation to Greater Sudbury’s doctors who have been been sharing their time, expertise and wisdom with medical students and residents.
