Forget talking science, let's make it fun!

Cambrian College and the Let’s Talk Science team will be hosting science activities for more than 100 kids at local elementary schools next week.

Among the activities are a design challenge and a science quiz show, where they'll compete for first prize.

Let’s Talk Science is a national, award-winning, charitable organization that aims to bring science to students in a "fun, hands-on, minds-on way," a press release from the organization states.

Students from Cambrian College have developed the outreach program, which includes a variety of challenges to engage students in kid-friendly activities that explore science, technology, engineering and math. Students have been studying for four months to prepare for this challenge.

“Science is happening everywhere, all of the time. The Let’s Talk Science Challenge engages and inspires young people to think like scientists and have fun with it,” said Alison Ross, site co-ordinator for Let’s Talk Science.
