Canada's largest ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) fundraiser event, Walk for ALS, will come to Sudbury June 20 at Delki Dozzi park, with a $50,000 goal.

Mayor Brian Bigger will be there to make a proclamation 10 a.m. before the Laurentian pipe band leads the walk.

Similar events will be held across the country during June, which is ALS awareness month.

Forty per-cent of the money raised will go to ALS research, while the rest will be used to help the people with the disease in Ontario live as comfortably as possible.
