Rock City Auto Supplies Ltd. invites Sudburians to recycle their used tires for free to support The Sunshine Foundation of Canada next month.

From June 1-6, Rock City is hosting the sixth annual #TireTakeBack event, in partnership with the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association, the Ontario Federation of Agriculture and Ontario Tire Stewardship. During the week, collection allowances from all passenger, light truck and agricultural tires dropped off at participating stores will be donated to The Sunshine Foundation of Canada.

The funds raised help The Sunshine Foundation fulfil dreams for children with severe disabilities within its network, including trips of a lifetime, meeting an idol, and providing adaptive mobility devices.

More than 46,000 tires were collected last year across Ontario during the #TireTakeBack events, raising more than $90,000.

Drop off tires at Rock City (1024 The Kingsway) between June 1-6, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
