Ontario has fire crews in the Yukon, stationed in White Horse and Dawson, as well as in Alberta, in Slave Lake, White Court, Peace River and High Level, to help with wildfire management in northern sectors of the country. There are currently 74 personnel in the Yukon and 126 personnel in Alberta.

Since May 24, three new fires have been confirmed in the region. Of these, Bancroft 5 is still active at 2.2 hectares.

The forest fire hazard currently ranges from low to moderate throughout the region, with areas north of Timmins and south of Algonquin Park experiencing the greatest hazard.
