Traffic Report: Summer street work and downtown sales

The city issued the following traffic report this afternoon, covering the remainder of this week:

The intersection of Dollard Avenue and Madison Avenue will be closed May 28 and May 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the installation of water mains. Detour signs will direct all traffic including emergency vehicles. Detour roads include Gary, Caribou and Briar.

Larch Street will be closed from Elgin Street to Durham on May 30 for Sudbury's Largest Yard and Sidewalk Sale. The closure will last from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Road resurfacing, storm sewer repairs, water main installation and sanitary sewer upgrades will close Barbara Street from Yale Street to Arnold Street from May 28 to August 31. The road will remain open to local and emergency vehicles only.

Paving on King Street will close the southbound curb lane on Notre Dame Avenue and reduce King Street to one lane May 27 and May 28 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
