Missing Boater on Lake Huron

The Ontario Provincial Police are on scene of a missing boater on Lake Huron on the south shore of Manitoulin Island.

An unattended small vessel was located anchored off shore belonging to a 70-year-old visitor from West Virginia.

Members of the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police Detachment, with the assistance of the OPP Marine Unit, JRCC and the OPP helicopter are continuing the investigation and a search of the water and shoreline.

The OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Team have been dispatched to attend and assist with the search.
