Canada Day: Garbage pickup the same, libraries closed

The City of Greater Sudbury has released the following municipal service schedule for Wednesday, July 1: -Tom Davies Square will be closed. -Citizen Service Centres and libraries will close.

The City of Greater Sudbury has released the following municipal service schedule for Wednesday, July 1:

-Tom Davies Square will be closed.
-Citizen Service Centres and libraries will close.
-Garbage and recycling collection are unaffected by this holiday. Landfills and recycling centre will be open July 1. Please make sure your garbage is at the curb by 7 a.m. as pick-up times may vary occasionally without notice.
-Greater Sudbury Transit buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule.
-All municipal pools and community centres will be closed. Lifeguards will be on duty at municipal beaches.

Canada Day Celebration shuttle service will be provided by Greater Sudbury Transit on Wednesday, July 1.

Buses will depart the transit terminal and the former Zellers parking lot of the Southridge Mall every 30 minutes from 11:45 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. to bring passengers to Science North.

Return trips begin after the fireworks at approximately 10:45 p.m. until midnight.

Fare is $1 per person and includes the return trip. Connecting service to other parts of the city will depart from the downtown Transit terminal. For more information, contact Greater Sudbury Transit at 705-675-3333.
