Free bus rides for Sudbury youth

The City of Greater Sudbury, in partnership with EarthCare will continue their “Ride the Bus on Us” initiative for the seventh year in a row.

The City of Greater Sudbury, in partnership with EarthCare will continue their “Ride the Bus on Us” initiative for the seventh year in a row.

This program is designed to encourage young people to take part in community programs and to familiarize themselves with the public transit system.

Local youth, ages 12 to 24, are invited to present their library card or similar identification at any branch of the Greater Sudbury Public Library to apply for five free rides on Greater Sudbury Transit.

Passes will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis starting July 2 and again on August 4. Five ride passes will also be distributed through local social service agencies up to a limit of two per person.

Up to 2,100 complementary five ride bus passes are available for distribution. For more information please dial 3-1-1.
