Sudbury celebrates Canada Day

Parking spaces were in short supply near Science North by the early afternoon for its outdoor Canada Day festivities. Large crowds gathered to see outdoor performances, enjoy Ramsey Lake and sample a number of tasty treats from local vendors.

Parking spaces were in short supply near Science North by the early afternoon for its outdoor Canada Day festivities.

Large crowds gathered to see outdoor performances, enjoy Ramsey Lake and sample a number of tasty treats from local vendors.

The day's festivities also featured many activities for children, ranging from gymnastics demonstrations, to face-painting, play sword fighting and an inflatable bouncy castle.

The day's performers included Voyageur storyteller Christian Pilon, and musicians Dayv Poulin and Shawn Brady.
