You can head to the Sixth Avenue Playground, 215 Sixth Ave., Lively, for 10:15 a.m. on July 6.

Desjardins will be on hand with the cup to answer questions from the media, with remarks from Mayor Brian Bigger, Ward 2 Coun. Michael Vagnini and Greater Sudbury Police Chief Paul Pedersen.

After that, the cup will be paraded triumphantly to the TM Davies Community Centre where Desjardins will be available with the Stanley Cup for a photo session and to sign autographs, starting at 11 a.m.

Desjardins will also be encouraging donations to the local food bank.

The cup will be departing Lively at 2 p.m., so it’s a good plan to arrive early.

“I can't believe I'm going to get the privilege of taking the Stanley Cup to my hometown of Lively,” Desjardins wrote in a blog on NHL.com he updated throughout the Stanley Cup Final.
