Chelmsford fire displaces one person

One person was evacuated from their apartment due to a fire Sunday morning in a residential building on Laurette Street in Chelmsford, reports the Greater Sudbury Fire Service. No one was injured in the fire, that caused around $10,000 in damage.

One person was evacuated from their apartment due to a fire Sunday morning in a residential building on Laurette Street in Chelmsford, reports the Greater Sudbury Fire Service.

No one was injured in the fire, that caused around $10,000 in damage.

The fire service said fire and smoke damage were “minimal.”

The two-storey building has six units, but only one was affected by the fire.
