The cup's here! View Stanley Cup in Lively today

Greater Sudbury resident, member of the Chicago Blackhawks and Stanley Cup winner, Andrew Desjardins, will be in Lively for a community celebration today (July 6) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Greater Sudbury resident, member of the Chicago Blackhawks and Stanley Cup winner, Andrew Desjardins, will be in Lively for a community celebration today (July 6) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Desjardins will be at the Sixth Avenue Playground in Lively with the Stanley Cup at 10:15 a.m. The playground is located at 215 Sixth Ave. in Lively (off Main Street). Desjardins will then make his way to TM Davies Community Centre/arena, where residents are encouraged to join in and cheer on in the parade procession.

Residents will be able to see the Stanley Cup, have their picture taken and receive an autograph from Desjardins starting at around 11 a.m. Residents are encouraged to arrive early, as the cup will be departing the arena at 2 p.m.

Desjardins and his family will be accepting donations for the Walden Food Bank and the Sudbury Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the TM Davies Community Centre/Arena.

Free parking is available at the TM Davies Community Centre/Arena.
