A new fundraising campaign has been initiated to help a popular youth program continue to change the lives of Sudbury teens.

“Change for Teens” is being billed as a new campaign to help raise awareness and help strengthen youth resiliency.

The campaign is backed by a partnership between Better Beginnings Better Futures and the Sudbury Workers' Education and Advocacy Centre. Collection jars have been distributed at locations around the Greater Sudbury area to be filled with donations, which are being collected until International Youth Day on Aug. 12.

The goal is to provide support to The Supporting Potential Overtime with Teens (SPOT) program, which is operated by Better Beginnings Better Futures.

The collective goal of the campaign is to decrease local youth’s odds of living in poverty into adulthood by providing access to safe space, workers’ education and leadership opportunities that build realistic change.

To date The SPOT program has 88 teenagers registered between the ages of 13 and 17 who can access both organizations’ services.

All proceeds raised will be used directly to support workshops for teens in the community.

You can donate your change when you “SPOT” the jars in your community.
