Apartment fire in Capreol causes $75,000 in damages

Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to an apartment fire in Capreol on July 18.

The call came in at 9:30 a.m. regarding a fire at a two-storey apartment on Dennie Street in Capreol. The blaze caused approximately $75,000 in damage and resulted in one injury.

Seven fire vehicles were on the scene and a total of 16 firefighters. One civilian rescue was reported as well as one injury to a civilian. Seven people had to be evacuated from the building and a total of 12 people were displaced as a result of the fire.
