Residential fire causes major damage

Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a call of a residential fire this morning (Aug. 21) at 7:45 a.m. The fire at 2336 Desloges Rd. caused approximated $250,000 in damages and one person had to be evacuated from the home.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a call of a residential fire this morning (Aug. 21) at 7:45 a.m.

The fire at 2336 Desloges Rd. caused approximated $250,000 in damages and one person had to be evacuated from the home.

No injuries were reported from the blaze.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services dispatched six fire vehicles to the scene and 17 fire personnel from three different fire stations.

Fire and smoke damage to the home were severe, though there was no damage to nearby properties.
