A&W celebrated its seventh annual Cruisin’ to End MS day on Aug. 27, to help Canadians living with MS.

On this day, one dollar from every Teen Burger sold across the country will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

The day was marked by an impressive gathering of classic cars at the A&W parking lot on Long Lake Road. Muscle cars, hot rods, new cars and old popped their hoods for display purposes while passers-by snapped photos.

An array of games like root beer pong and beanbag toss were available to keep kids entertained and the A&W Root Bear was making the rounds, greeting everyone who came to stop by.

The Bluez Brotherz put on a show to provide some dinner music as patrons downed burgers by the bundle, with proceeds from the burger sales going to the MS Society.

In the first six years, A&W has raised $6.5 million to support people living with MS and MS research in Canada.

Last year, a total of $1.45 million was raised through this campaign for the MS Society for a total of $6.5 million over the last six years. In Sudbury, A&W restaurants raised nearly $15,000 in 2014.
