Camille Gaudette doesn’t spend a great deal of time smiling, her mother, Natalie Genereux, told NorthernLife.ca today.

The 10-year-old École Alliance St. Joseph student lives with a host of medical problems, such that their family vacations always coincide with Camille’s regular visits to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa.

But thanks to Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario, Tysen’s Misson to a Million campaign, and Chartrand’s Your Independent Grocer in Chelmsford (which raised $1,200 for the family, half of which will be used to buy groceries), Camille is finally going on a real family vacation — no medical reason necessary.

On Aug. 27, Camille was excited to learn she and her family would be heading to Disney World and NorthernLife.ca was on hand to witness the surprise.
Check out the video. Her smile is priceless.
