Tanner Levesque takes to the streets on his bicycle bright and early Saturday morning on his yearly bike ride to raise money for cancer research.

But instead of cycling his usual, 16-kilometre route from his home in Val Thérèse to the taxation centre on Notre Dame Avenue, as he has done the past four years, Tanner will add to his commute and bike around 25 kilometres to Bell Park.

Tanner said he hopes he can jump in Ramsey Lake after the ride, so long as the weather permits. With the forecast calling for a high of 23 and 77-per-cent humidity, a jump in the lake will be much needed and well deserved.

Levesque hits the road between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. and make his way to Bell Park. To date, Tanner has raised $710 for his campaign and there's still some time to donate, by visiting his donation page.
