Greater Sudbury is inviting the public to offer their input as the 2016 budget process gears up.

Those with any bright fiscal ideas are invited to attend the Sept. 16 meeting of the finance and administration committee. The meeting will be held in council chambers at Tom Davies Square beginning at 4 p.m.

To make a presentation, residents have to register beforehand with the city clerk by phoning 311 or emailing [email protected].

Presenters will have five minutes to make their pitch, and in past years, the committee used a stoplight to let them know how much time they have. The light turns yellow when time is running out, then red when time is up. Presenters will address the committee in the order they appear on the speakers' list.

If public speaking doesn't interest you, or if you can't attend Sept. 16, submit your comments online. Forms for written submissions are available at citizen service centres and will be accepted until end of day Sept. 18.
