Fire damages Val Caron rec centre

Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a fire at a recreation facility in Val Caron at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 7. The estimated damage to the building was $2,500 with light smoke and fire damage contained to one storey of the building.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a fire at a recreation facility in Val Caron at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 7.

The estimated damage to the building was $2,500 with light smoke and fire damage contained to one storey of the building.

A total of 30 people had to be evacuated from the building and four fire vehicles responded to the blaze with a 12 fire personnel.
