Man charged after campaign office vandalism

Updated: Oct. 12, 9:40 a.m. As a result of the ongoing investigation into the mischief at the campaign office of Conservative candidate Fred Slade, an 18-year-old man has been charged with Criminal Harassment and Mischief Under $5,000.

As a result of the ongoing investigation into the mischief at the campaign office of Conservative candidate Fred Slade, an 18-year-old man has been charged with Criminal Harassment and Mischief Under $5,000.


He is also facing additional charges of Break and Enter and Mischief under $5,000 in regards to an unrelated event.

The man will be held to appear in Bail Court on Oct. 13.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.

Sudbury Conservative candidate Fred Slade's campaign headquarters was vandalized this morning.

 

White paint was spattered across the brick facade and entryway and a pentagram was drawn on the sidewalk.

 

Police are currently following up leads in this matter.
