The Health Sciences North Foundation hosted its second annual Holiday Craft Fair and Bake Sale last week to raise funds for hospital equipment.

More than 20 local artisans and vendors took part in the craft sale and showcased their items for the 4,000 staff members, volunteers and visitors at the hospital throughout the day.

The Health Sciences North Foundation teamed up with Merek Hospitality Inc. for a holiday bake sale, which allowed staff, visitors and to have their holiday baking done for them with the busy holiday season approaching.

“We are always pleased to support the HSN Foundation's initiatives as we take pride in the excellent work they put forth to better our local hospital and community, and of course it falls right into our wheelhouse whereby our talented Chefs get to show case their creations and interact with the public,” said Stewart Brown, Marek Hospitality's retail food services director, in a press release.

In addition to the crafts and baked goods, Health Sciences North Foundation was also selling snowflakes to hang on a Christmas tree in the main lobby of HSN as way to raise more funds to put the best equipment in the hands of HSN’s physicians, staff, researchers and learners.
