Musician Steven Page will give a free keynote address at Laurentian University's Fraser Auditorium Thursday, Jan. 28, about his own struggles with depression.

Page, who is most well known as the former frontman of the Barenaked Ladies, first came out about his mental health struggles in 2011, when he guest hosted an episode of the CBC Radio current affairs show The Current.

Since then, Page has been an outspoken advocate for more mental health awareness, and to help decrease the stigma around mental illness.

His speech starts at 7:30 p.m., and while the talk is free, seating is limited.
