Two firefighters received minor injuries while battling a house fire in Garson early this morning.
One firefighter slipped and injured his ankle, while another injured his elbow as he pulled down the ceiling inside the house, said Platoon Chief Mike Valiquette of the Greater Sudbury Fire Services.
He said the home received extensive fire and smoke damage estimated at $200,000.
One person was evacuated from the home, and one person was displaced because of the fire. No civilians were injured in the blaze.
Valiquette said he doesn't yet know what caused the fire.
