Rogers Media's Canada-wide cuts, first announced in late January, have touched Sudbury with four local jobs cut at Rogers Radio.

Long-time Q92 morning host Terry Callaghan, mid-day host Lyndsay Moggy, reporter Angela Gemmill, and receptionist and promotions representative Hanneli Maki were among the 200 layoffs across Rogers Media.

Rogers said in a memo to staff last month its reasons for the cuts included, "significant pressures from a softening advertising market, fierce competition from global players, and shifting audience consumption habits.”
