Greater Sudbury Fire Services are currently at the scene of a house fire on Levesque Street near Rheal Street in the Moonlight neighbourhood.

The fire is mostly under control and firefighters are checking to make sure there are no remaining hot spots. The blaze originated in the garage and was contained to that area.

“The fire didn't spread to the house itself or any adjoining property,” said GSFS platoon chief Andre Groulx. “The cause of the fire is still undetermined.”

A total of 18 firefighters responded to the blaze, with four trucks coming from three fire startions.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and investigation is ongoing.

“We're checking inside of the home to see if anyone will be displaced, but we don't know yet,” said Groulx.
