The province's minimum wage will be raised to $9.50 an hour on March 31.

The minimum wage was raised from $6.85 in 2004 to $8.00 in 2007. By 2010, the minimum wage will be $10.25.

"We are helping hard-working Ontarians maintain a decent standard of living. A fair minimum wage is good for workers," said Peter Fonseca, Minister of Labour, in a release.
