Paraglider, 47, taken to hospital in serious condition after hitting cliff: OPP

PORT BRUCE, Ont. - Provincial police say an Aylmer man was airlifted to hospital in serious condition after the paraglider he was flying crashed into a cliff.

Police say it happened near Port Bruce along the shores of Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon.

Malahide Fire Services performed a steep angle rescue of the pilot.

Police say the 47-year-old man was an experienced paraglider pilot who lost control of the aircraft (parachute with seat).
