Man wanted in child sex assault surrenders

HAMILTON - Hamilton police say a 29-year-old man being sought in connection with the abduction and sexual assault of a child has turned himself in.

John Adam Greene was wanted on charges of abduction, aggravated sexual assault, sexual interference, assault causing bodily harm, assault and threatening death.

He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Police had announced said they were looking for a silver 2000 Chrysler Neon as part of their search for a suspect, but have not indicated if the vehicle had been found.

The child was attacked and sexually assaulted on Saturday afternoon.
