Abducted Alberta woman found in Ontario

MATHESON, Ont. - Ontario Provincial Police say a woman reported to have been abducted has been located in northern Ontario, east of Timmins.

OPP say they were advised by Toronto police that a 45-year-old woman from Alberta had been abducted and was allegedly being forced into prostitution.

The woman was located in the Matheson area on Tuesday by provincial police and taken to hospital for medical treatment.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
