THUNDER BAY, Ont. - Provincial police say divers are searching for a missing boater in a river near Thunder Bay.

The 56-year-old man was reported missing Saturday after he went boating the previous evening on the Kaministiquia River and did not return to his camp.

The OPP's emergency response team and marine unit officers were sent to the scene and began searching the area.

The man's family found the boat Sunday evening in the Kakabeka Falls area.

Divers from the OPP's underwater search and recovery unit were at the scene Monday and police say the investigation is continuing.
