KENORA, Ont. - The body of a swimmer missing in a northwestern Ontario lake over the weekend has been recovered.

Ontario Provincial Police have identified the man as Christopher Silman, 29, of Winnipeg.

Police say he was last seen swimming at a cottage near Bigelow Island on Lake of the Woods on Saturday night.

Officers were called to the scene after the man was seen diving into the water but did not resurface.

Police divers recovered the body Sunday near the area where the man was last observed.

A post-mortem is scheduled.
