Man chases people through mall with a bat

Members of the Community Response Unit (bicycle patrol officers) were called to Rainbow Centre after reports of a man with a small base ball bat in hand chasing other unknown males through the mall July 14 around 7:15 p.m.

Police, with the assistance of mall security, were able to arrest the man. He has been charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous use and possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held for a bail hearing today (July 15).

  • It's always the same old story, idiot brakes law, getscaught, dumb law maker misse loop-hole in writing law idiot get released, peaceful citisen gets hurt by idiot police say ooups sorry had to let idiot out because he has rights to.

  • Maybe if it were someone in our judical system being chased with a bat, robbed, assaulted, etc. they might do something about these criminals the police are rounding up and trying to make our streets safe. With 2 for 1 time he should be back on the streets by Thursday.
