Suspect steals $3,000 necklace

A man stole a necklace valued at $3,000 from a downtown jewelry store April 8 at around 5 p.m.

The owner of Trek Jewelers on Cedar Street chased the suspect on foot, but was unable to catch him. Greater Sudbury Police later "flooded" the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties with blue eyes and a brush cut. He was wearing a beige jacket and blue jeans.

Greater Sudbury Police are in the process of obtaining video evidence. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to phone police at 67-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 675-TIPS.
