Three Greater Sudbury men are facing drug-related charges after two separate busts by Greater Sudbury Police on Jan. 26 and Jan. 27.

Police worked with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in executing a search warrant on Jan. 26, and found 125 40mg oxycodone pills, 42 codeine pills, and 20 5mg oxycodone pills.

The police estimate the drugs have a street value of $5,200. They also seized $2,694 in cash.

Two men were arrested and charged, and will answer to two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime.

Police arrested a man the next day and found him to be in possession of about 2700 grams of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $26,970.

He also was found to be in possession of $3,204. A 2003 Oldsmobile Alero was also seized.

The accused faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.

  • Indeed Devolution. Maybe if buddy sells the entire 6 pounds by the gram, he'd make $27000.

Seriously though i'm glad they're pushing to get those pills off of the streets.

  • Personally i am glad those oxycontins are off the streets.. this generation has turned into crackheads with the guidance of our fine city.. and oxycontin is becoming a VERY serious problem.

However i am disgusted with the police and their ambitions to put away cannabis users.. and about the 2700 grams worth 27 000$ that is an outrageous LIE.. the TRUTH is.. they found SIX (6) POUNDS.. that is worth only 9 000$ on the streets.. ONLY BECAUSE OF INFLATION.
