A 36-year-old Greater Sudbury man is facing several charges after being found impaired while in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle.

According to Greater Sudbury Police constable Bert Lapalme, officers approached the vehicle, which was parked in a Bancroft Drive area parking lot, during the evening of March 17.

During a discussion with the man, it became obvious to the officers that he was impaired. The accused was then required to provide blood alcohol samples and registered over the legal limit in both tests.

As well as facing charges of being in the care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired, the accused was being sought on outstanding charges for impaired-related offences and also has several impaired driving convictions.

The accused was arrested, and will be in bail court March 18.
