Accident sends teen to hospital with serious injuries

Charges are pending in an accident in Capreol that sent a 14-year-old to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Around 1 p.m. on Aug. 25, Greater Sudbury Police were called to property on Dennie Street, near the train tracks.

A 12-year-old driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) struck a 14-year-old who was driving a motorcycle, according to a press release issued by the police.

The motorcycle was badly damaged, and police continue to investigate the accident.

I would be concerned as to what safety training the parents of these kids gave their children.... at camp, we had young kids speeding on our road, and get stuck... they were too small to extricate the ATV from the ditch...where are the parents?

I was passing by when the police arrived and the bike didn't look overly damaged non the less KIDS should have the right to drive these things!!!!. They go up and down the sidewalks here in Capreol all the time...next time it may be a mother walking her child!
