Alleged attacker returns to scene of crime to find glasses

A 33-year-old man is facing assault charges after he was caught returning to the scene of the alleged crime to retrieve his glasses.

Greater Sudbury Police were called to Beech Street around 7 p.m. to investigate an assault complaint in front of Christ the King Church.

Two men, aged 47 and 33, had been drinking together, but when the 47-year-old left and returned to his home, the 33-year-old suspect followed him and allegedly punched him in the head several times before he fled.

However, he misplaced his glasses and returned to look for them, and was identified by witnesses who quickly pointed him out to police.

The accused was also found to also be in violation of probation orders that required him to keep the peace, abstain from alcohol, and report changes of address. The accused was in violation of all three conditions.

He is facing a charge of assault and three charges of breach of probation.

Well, eyeglasses are expensive ya know....(sorry couldn't help it) Law abiding folks would be better off in the jails, its gotta be safer there.

Is there ever anyone in Sudbury charged who is not in violation of probation orders???
When will judges smarten up and see what they say means nothing.

Another Donovan creeper assaulting his friend. We will be hearing that at 200 in the morning he was in a high speed chase, no insurance or lisence, killing a few people.
