A woman was walking down Errington Street in Chelmsford Aug. 15 when an unknown man came up to her and groped her.

The suspect then fled. The woman was not injured.

This is the third reported case of a man groping women in Chelmsford. The first two incidents happened within minutes of each other about two weeks ago.

The man is described as between 20 and 30 years of age, five-foot-four to five-foot-seven tall, with an average build and short, dark straight hair.

At the time, the suspect was wearing a dark blue or black baseball cap with the peak pulled down to conceal his face. He was clean shaven, and wore a black t-shirt and dark washed jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Greater Sudbury Police at 705-675-9171, or Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers by phone at 705-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.sudburycrimestoppers.com, or by text message to 274637 (CRIMES) starting with the word TIPSUD.

  • Well, I just got this email in my in box, and spoke too soon, as I see now this happened in August.
Pardon my comments, I don't know how to erase them.

  • It's the middle of winter, I doubt the victim was wearing revealing clothing. Yeah, maybe that parka was a little too sexy.
Just another inadequate loser on the prowl in Chelmy.

  • Been more than a week now, any update to this?

  • The very first comment blames the victim? Unreal. Yeah "she was wearing a sexy outfit" is a totally valid excuse for sexual assault.

Are you and M.A.T. professional trolls, or are there really two people out there who are this ignorant?

  • You have a certain point, fashion these days doesn't hide much, but that doesn't mean that guys have the right to touch, people used to tell there daughters to never go out alone and to make sure that safety was always on there mind. Now days people dont realy care about there kids, well in my neck of the city girls let themselvs man handled by strangers, and there parents dont do sqwat. The government isn't helping anyone, they are letting known convicted pedophiles free in this region, one travels between chelmsford and sudbury he was located stroling near a park in Ryan Heights.

  • Thats what girls these days get for wearing revealing clothing. I have always said this, if you dont want to be treated like meat then stop marinating yourselves.

And from the description this dude doesnt sound like a big guy, why not just hit him? He grabs and runs hes obviously not very tough.
