Greater Sudbury Police were called to Elizabeth Street in Val Therese Aug. 21 at 8:12 a.m. to deal with a complaint of two intoxicated men lying in a ditch, and “rolling around in a puddle, yelling at each other.”

One of the men appeared unable to get up, according to a press release from the police.

Officers found out that one of the men was wanted for failing to appear in bail court and theft. The man, 22, was also charged with being intoxicated in a public place and having open liquor.

The other man involved in the incident, 21, was escorted to his residence by police.
