Marijuana plants found during search of home

A 52-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man have been charged with production of marijuana and possession of marijuana after a home on Talon Street was searched by Greater Sudbury Police and the RCMP Aug. 21.

Police reportedly found four marijuana plants growing on the home's back deck, as well as more marijuana inside the home.

The drugs seized by police are worth $5,000, according to a press release from Greater Sudbury Police.

Hahahaha what a joke! Two old hippies get nailed for a couple of plants...what a waste of time!! I still can't believe that they try to say each plant is worth $1k...as if any backyard hippy has gotten $1000 from a plant they grew on their patio.

This is a complete waste of police resources.

wow, i feel so safe now that two middle age pot smokers have been taken off the street. This must be the beginning of the end of all crime in canada. Just imagine how many teenagers we have saved from getting addicted to heroin now that we have removed 5 pot plants from the street. thank you mister police men for saving our country again lol.
what a f'n waste of money... when will we ever learn that prohibition never works. cops just want easy busts and thats all.

ah usually people who smoke marijuana become peaceful rather than hating towards the world. Maybe he smokes oxy's instead?
