The cause of death in the city's first murder of 2010 is now official.
Dr. Charis Kepron, a pathologist with the Ontario Coroner's Office,
performed an autopsy on Anne Julien-Guerin on Sept. 3 in Toronto, while members of the Greater
Sudbury Police's forensic identification branch were present.
Julien-Guerin, 48, was found in her Val Caron home Sept. 2, around 2 a.m., suffering from "apparent stab wounds." She was rushed to Sudbury Regional Hospital by EMS, and was pronounced dead.
Dr. Kepron concluded the stab wounds to the torso caused Julien-Guerin to bleed to death, a press release from the Greater Sudbury Police noted.
Julien-Guerin's husband, Denis Guerin, is facing a charge of second degree murder in his wife's death.
