Police investigate sudden death in McKerrow

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the sudden death of a 66-year-old man in McKerrow.

Around 9:40 a.m., Sept. 7, officers from the Espanola detachment were sent to a residence on Hardwood Road. A man had been found on the ground, without vital signs.

Initial investigation into the death has found the man was working near electrical equipment during a rain storm shortly before he was found.

The victim was taken to Espanola Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A post-mortem is scheduled to determine cause of death, and police continue to investigate.
