Police are asking the public's assistance in finding a man who allegedly sprayed three men with pepper spray before stabbing one in the neck with a pencil.
Twenty-three-year-old Harvey McNichol is being sought by police after the Sept. 9 incident on Pearl Street.
In addition to the pepper spray and stabbing incident, he then allegedly chased the victims with a knife as they fled to safety.
The victims were known to McNichol. He has no fixed address, but Greater Sudbury Police checked several residences for the accused, a press release noted.
McNichol is described as an Aboriginal man with brown eyes and short brown hair, about five-foot-ten tall, and around 150 pounds. He was described as wearing a white sweatshirt, white muscle shirt, jeans and a red hat that was worn backwards.
The accused is being sought on five charges of assault with a weapon, two charges of breach of probation, carrying a prohibited weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon.
The three men were taken to Sudbury Regional Hospital where the injured party was treated for his injuries and all three were decontaminated. All were released.
