Husband charged in Val Caron murder

The husband of a murdered Val Caron woman faces a second-degree murder charge in the city's first homicide of 2010.

Police and EMS responded to a 9-1-1 call on Henry Court in Val Caron around 2 a.m. on Sept. 2. There, they found the Anne Julien-Guerin, who had apparently been stabbed. She was taken to Sudbury Regional Hospital where she died of her injuries.

Denis Guerin has since been charged with second degree murder. He was arrested a short distance from the home.
