Open case of beer in public lands man in jail

A 30-year-old man has been arrested after being spotted with a case of open beer outside the Tim Hortons on Cedar Street, along with a second man. The men were also believed to be selling drugs, according to a report made to the police.

When police arrived on the scene, around 10:15 p.m. Friday night, officers found the 30-year-old to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. He was also breaching a condition of an undertaking by failing to notify an officer in charge of his change of address.

He is scheduled to appear in bail court Oct. 4.
