Police, MNR lay 21 charges over weekend

In addition to the charges, several warnings were issued, police said in a press release.

Two ATV drivers were charged with trespassing after caught operating ATVs on Sudbury Trail Plan trails. The police wish to remind all ATV users that operating ATVs on Sudbury Trail Plan trails is a chargable offense.

Snowmobile operators are reminded they require an operator's permit or valid driver's licence in order to legally operate a snowmobile, and also require insurance and a trail permit to use Sudbury Trail Plan trails.

Ice huts must be registered and numbered if they are located on lakes that are in the Fisheries Management Zones of nine to 12, and 14-19. The entirety of Greater Sudbury, west to and Manitoulin Island fall within zone 10.
